MeshOS T-Deck Flasher

1Connect the T-Deck

Plug the device into a USB-C cable. If the connect step fails, hold BOOT while tapping RESET, then release BOOT — that forces the chip into the download-mode bootloader. esptool-js does its own DTR/RTS dance on most adapters, but the manual fallback is always there.

★eFuse status (optional)

One-way fuses can never be un-burnt. Read them here before flashing if you suspect a device has had Secure Boot v2 or Flash Encryption enabled — either of those will refuse our patched image. On a stock consumer T-Deck nothing should be burnt.

2Choose firmware

3What to wipe

NVS only — clears the cached licence + the tamper-strike counter at 0x9000 (20 KB). Contacts, mesh identity and message history preserved. default Full erase — esptool.eraseFlash(). Wipes everything, including SPIFFS (contacts, identity, history). destructive

4Flash

✓ Flash complete. The device will boot the patched firmware. Once it's running, continue to step 2.
Step 2 → Activate

Built on esptool-js (Apache-2.0, hosted from vendor/ on this server — no CDN, no external dependency). Drops the ESP32-S3 into download mode, fetches the merged firmware image, writes it at offset 0x0, hard-resets the device.

Requires desktop Chrome or Edge over HTTPS (or localhost for testing). Web Serial isn't available in Firefox or Safari and isn't available on mobile.
